Anti-Scam Policy

Velora exists to help people build real, lasting relationships across borders. That promise only works if the people you meet are genuine. This policy explains how we verify profiles, what Velora will never ask of you, the warning signs of fraud, and how to report a problem so we can act quickly.

Profile verification

Every member is reviewed by our team before their profile appears on Velora, and identity documents are checked in cooperation with our trusted local partners. Photos are screened to confirm they match the verified person. Profiles that fail review, or that we later find to be inauthentic, are removed.

What Velora will never ask for

We will never ask you to send money, gift cards or cryptocurrency directly to another member. We will never ask for your full card number, online banking password, or one-time security codes by email or chat. All payments happen only through our certified payment providers on the Velora platform — never through a private transfer to an individual.

Red flags to watch for

Treat any of the following as a reason to slow down and report the member: a request to move off Velora to private email or messaging straight away; a story involving a sudden emergency, hospital bill, visa fee or customs charge that you are asked to pay; declarations of love within days; refusal to appear on a video call; or pressure to send money, however small. Genuine connections never depend on you paying a stranger.

Reporting and our refund stance

Every profile and message can be reported in a tap, and our moderation team investigates each report. If you believe you have encountered fraud, contact support immediately so we can suspend the account and review your activity. Where our investigation confirms that platform fraud took place, we will refund affected on-platform purchases in line with our Terms of Use. Money you send privately to another person, outside Velora's payment system, is outside our control and cannot be recovered by us — which is exactly why we ask you never to do it.

Our protections

A dedicated anti-fraud team monitors activity around the clock, and automated systems flag suspicious behaviour for human review. Card payments are processed through secure, encrypted checkout. We continually update our checks as new scam tactics emerge. Working together — our verification and your good judgement — keeps Velora a place where real relationships can begin safely.
